Why Wouldn’t You Buy An Electric Vehicle

Naysayers beware Brochure-Comp-02… the EV market continues to eliminate obstacles to EV ownership. GOe3 and others are building the charging infrastructure, more and more EVs are hitting the road, all vehicles classes are being represented, prices are coming down, and batteries continue to improve increasing range.

Now, the commitment from major auto manufacturers is at an all time high:

Ford Motor Company is in the game and ready to compete with Nissan and others for EV market leadership.

According to “Estimate your Payment” at http://www.ford.com/cars/focus/trim/electric/ a person can lease a 2014 Ford Focus Electric for $268/month for 36 months with only $913 due at signing. They are offering $11,750 in customer cash through 9/29/2014. See graphic below for details.

Here is what happens when you factor in the $7,500 Federal Tax credit which is not included in the available incentives:

$7500/36 months = $208.33/mo. Apply that to your payment and you get ($268-$208.33) or $59.67/mo for a car that needs no gas and very little maintenance.

In addition Colorado, Illinois, and California offer state tax credits. See http://www.pluginamerica.org/why-plug-vehicles/state-federal-incentives for details for all states.

Here is the tax credit over 36 months and the equivalent monthly lease payment for each state:

Colorado $6000 tax credit = $166.67/mo reduces payment to a negative $107/mo
Illinois $4000 tax credit = $111.11/mo reduces payment to a negative $51.44/mo
California $2500 tax credit = $69.44/mo reduces payment to a negative $9.77/mo

In other words, with all available incentives you will be paid to drive a 2014 Ford Focus Electric in these states…Wow!

AZ-based GOe3 plans coast-to-coast EV Highway

Planned Film to Reveal State of Electric Vehicle Movement in U.S.

GOe3 Kicks off National Plug-In Day with the filming of “Building the Electric Highway”

MESA, Ariz. (September 12, 2013) On September 29th, the nation’s most fervent supporters of electric vehicles (EVs) will celebrate National Plug In Day, an annual EV awareness event sponsored nationally by Plug In America, the Sierra Club and the Electric Auto Association. This year, GOe3 CEO Bruce Brimacombe is drawing even more eyes and cameras to the cause by embarking that day on a 3-week journey across the country to garner support for increased electric vehicle adoption and interstate mobility for EV drivers.

Route 66The docudrama film follows Brimacombe’s journey through over 30 cities, rallying support from city officials, and taking viewers behind the complex and politically charged scenes of the electric vehicle industry’s exciting momentum in the United States. The film aims to highlight the relative ease and affordability of a nationwide shift to electric vehicles, helping to break the country’s addiction to oil. Producers hope to relay the many powerful ways that individuals and corporations can work in concert with Federal, State and local governments to contribute to the success of the EV movement.

Last year, Brimacombe’s company broke ground on the country’s first coast-to-coast electric highway, with the goal of providing the necessary infrastructure for inter-state and cross-country travel for all modern EV drivers. GOe3’s uniquely designed E3 Fast Charge Stations can charge EVs in as little as 20 minutes, and features technology that is easily adaptable to evolving plug standards. Its interactive display screens are built to support geo-targeted advertising, finally bringing a sustainably profitable business model to the EV charging industry.

“EVs are no longer just the green choice,” said Brimacombe. “They are clearly the economical choice.” And that’s the message he is bringing to Middle America.

Kicking off in Tucson, AZ, the filmed tour will include the following cities:

Santa Monica, Barstow, Kingman, Seligman, Flagstaff, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Canyon City, Pueblo, Denver, Amarillo, Oklahoma City, Little Rock, Memphis, Nashville, Ashville, Greensboro, Raleigh, Richmond, Washington DC, New York, Boston, Atlantic City, Virginia Beach, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Savannah, Myrtles, Dallas, Abilene, Tucson, and Phoenix.

The film is being produced by Cave Creek Entertainment’s Gary Purviance, whose portfolio includes work for Republic Pictures, Spelling Entertainment, Artisan Entertainment, and Atlantic. “Building the Electric Highway” is expected to release to the public early next year.

Tucson Receives First Electric Vehicle Fast Charge Station

Arizona-based GOe3 installs Tucson’s first public fast charge station, charging EVs in as little as 20 minutes

MESA, Ariz. – (September 1, 2013) Tucson EV drivers can now charge up in as little as 20 minutes thanks to the city’s first public EV fast charge station installed by Arizona based company, GOe3, at Bookman’s new Speedway store – 3302 E. Speedway Blvd.

The new EV station not only provides convenience to city drivers who just need to charge up during daily errands, but also completes the circuit of intercity mobility between Phoenix and Tucson. With the help of GOe3’s Picacho Peak E3 charging station installation last year, most EV road travelers can now traverse the two cities with very little stopover time. This installation is part of GOe3’s plan to create a 1000 unit Electric Highway, powered by Eaton, which will make fuel-free coast-to-coast travel a reality for all EV drivers.

“With recent efforts from many car manufacturers to make EV models more affordable, this is the ideal time to help build the infrastructure to support range confidence,” said Bruce Brimacombe, CEO of GOe3.

Charging at Bookman’s is free until October 1st, and $5 thereafter to fast-charge EVs with CHAdeMo plugs, such as the Nissan Leaf and Mitsubishi i MiEV. Tesla drivers can expect to pay $13, when a standardized Tesla plug becomes available. As technology changes, GOe3 charging stations are designed to quickly adapt. Soon models such as the Chevy Spark and future models adopting standardized SAE plugs will be able to utilize GOe3’s Level 3 quick charge technology.

Level 2 charging will remain free at this Bookman’s location. A longtime supporter of electric vehicles, Bookman’s owner Bob Oldfather, has offered free Level 2 charging at his Tucson and Phoenix locations for the past few years. Further demonstrating his support of alternative energy, the new Bookman’s store features a 50-kilowatt photovoltaic array, which supplies much of the energy for the store and charging station.

Committed to its mission of promoting electric vehicle adoption in America, GOe3 recently began filming a docudrama film, following the company’s journey to install EV Fast Charge stations across the country. The film is expected to premiere in about 600 theaters throughout the United States later this year.
